F

First Position
Perceiving the world from your own point of view, associated, in touch with only your own inner Model of the World. It is one of the three perceptual positions.
Four Tuple (or 4-tuple)
A method used to notate the structure of any particular experience. The concept of the four tuple maintains that any experience must be composed of some combination of the four primary representational classes: A,V,K,O - where A =Auditory, V = Visual, K = Kinesthetic, and 0 = Olfactory/ Gustatory.
Fractionation
Bringing the subjects out of and back into trance repeatedly to deepen their trance.
Frame
A frame sets a context like a picture frame. It is a way we can make a distinction about something, as in As-If Frame, Backtrack Frame, Outcome Frame. Context, environment, meta-level, a something (as in Outcome Frame, "As Frame, etc.).
 
Future Pace
Mentally rehearsing (practicing) oneself through some future situation in order to help ensure that the desired behavior will occur naturally and automatically. Future pacing installs a recovery strategy so that the desired outcome occurs. It is one of the key methods for making sure an outcome sticks. Most hypnosis and NLP interventions end with Future pacing.
