Associated Techniques
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): This is an extremely effective means of dealing with mood and anxiety disorders. More about this and other techniques soon.
- Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is one of the best methods for overcoming PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) in general and many other traumatic issues including: combat veterans; phobias and panic disorder; crime victims and first responders (such as police officers); grief (death or relationship endings); people traumatized by assault and natural disaster; sexual assault victims; accident victims, trauma from surgery; burn victims; sexual dysfunction.
- Releasing - this is very simple and effective method of changing your behavior.
- Sedona Method - another different release technique.
- Silva Method - even though the originators and practitioners of the Silva Method claim it is not hypnosis, the little that I know about it (a few audio tapes) tells me that it is hypnosis under another name. I'll listen to my tapes soon and write more.
In order to use EMDR (named as EMDR) you have to be a licensed therapist and since Dr. Elaine Kindle, the Director of Life Focus Center, is an expert in this field, I always refer issues which need EMDR to her. I do use at least things borrowed from rest of the above in my hypnotherapy practice.
